Scientific Publication: Description of a new species by MarBio UGent & DZMB
Dr. Hendrik Gheerardyn and Dr. Kai Horst George fom the Marine Biology Research Group at Ghent University (MarBio) and the German Centre for Marine Biodiversity Research (DZMB) Senckenberg am Meer Wilhelmshaven, published a new academic paper in Marine Biodiversity. The paper describes a new species of Neoargestes Drzycimski, 1967 (Copepoda, Harpacticoida, Argestidae) from the Clarion Clipperton Fracture Zone (Pacific Ocean), with remarks on the systematics of the genus.
The dissemination of environmental data recovered during GSR expeditions is of critical importance and contributes to the understanding of the deepest parts of our oceans.
